Kyra Minturn Sedgwick, a well-known American television and big-screen actress. She's well known around the globe, but particularly in America, for playing the leading role in 'The Cloner. Sedgwick has always had an interest in art, Broadway and performing since the age of 12. Sedgwick was first introduced to Broadway from her mother. Sedgwick was barely 16 when she made her acting career started in the television series 'AnotherWorld. Although she began by doing tiny-time television roles however, it was the notion of being an actress that intrigued her. Her first film she starred in was 'Born on the Fourth of July. It was a film in which she starred with Tom Cruise in this supporting role. Following the popularity of the film, Sedgwick got more roles in movies like "Singles," "Heart and Souls", 'Phenomenon' etc. In the year she turned 22 years old, she got married to the actor Kevin Bacon after working in the television series Lemon Sky. Sedgwick's flawless performance on the seven-season series 'The Closer" brought her many awards and accolades, including an Emmy as well as a Golden Globe.
